The best way I've found to rehydrate dry pipe tobacco is to place the tobacco in a large bowl. Something with a wide bottom and wider mouth. Then, get a towel and soak it with hot water. You don't need to worry about using tap water because the water will never touch your tobacco. Hot water seemed to work well for me as well. Also, your towel should be larger than the opening of your bowl. So now that your towel is hot and wet, drap it over the mouth of the bowl making sure to cover it all and also making sure the towel doesn't slip in and touch the tobacco.Well that would make sense. I just was in shock that it came to me so dry. And it seems like I have issues rehydrating. Unless I'm just dumb. Might just make a new thread or search for an older one and go from there on it. I don't want to derail this more than I already did......
Yup, love my G.G. poker, it's a damn good smoker for the money. I think I gave like $55 on Amazon with free shipping and was worth every penny.I broke down today and put a bid in on a GG poker pipe from the Ukraine after reading several favorable reviews and comments on them. Can't wait to get it in.
I've got one that looks very similar that I picked up in a tobacco shop back in Alabama. I really enjoy mine but I have no clue if it is a GG or basket pipe
Gorgeous pipe!Moretti reverse calabash.
So they still make Patriot Flake?? I wonder if they have a date code on that you can figure how old it is. I have some that is pretty old and really really good...Just for fun.

They do still make it. There is also a date sticker on the back. You need some?So they still make Patriot Flake?? I wonder if they have a date code on that you can figure how old it is. I have some that is pretty old and really really good...
We may need to work something out here soon! It may not be as good fresh as what I have, but a few tins in the cellar won't hurt at all! They do still make it. There is also a date sticker on the back. You need some?

Very nice pouch, Rev!Not a purchase but a gift: Thanks kindly to @Inkredible329, my SnS brother, for this bomb of tobacco purchased in Paris and a handmade, personalized tobacco pouch from Chris' workbench at his @whiskeymillpipeco shop. This is greatly appreciated, brother!
