Wine pairing with cigars are alot more complicated than cigar and hard liquor combinations. The trick to pairing with wine is simple, keep the body of the wine equal or greater than the strength of your cigar. This automatically cancels out most white wine. I have yet to find a dry white wine that pairs well with a cigar. The cigar usualy just takes over the more subtle flavors of white wine. Some great whites with a gar are Sauternes (a sweet white wine made in the Bordeaux region of France) and German Rieslings. Most German Rieslings over a kabinett will pair best. The above mentioned wines are very well built with alot of sweetness but a huge amount of acidity to balance it all out.
