Thanks, but I ordered some from sweet Maria's. I'm just busting chuck's balls since he roasted me some last weekend, and finally shipped them yesterday.

Kettle and decanter just arrived!



Sweet Maria's order should arrive sometime this coming week hopefully. Then I can try this roasting thing out since that order has an air popper in it. No half stepping for this coffee newb! Thanks @ChuckMejia for spending my money once again My wife is soooooo excited!!!!! (Not really)

I just recently got that same kettle for my pour over and I love it, so much easier than the old regular tea kettle I had, hope you enjoy it.

I have the same grinder and I give it a workout. For the money I'm real happy with it. Works well for anything from espresso to French press

Roasted up some Ethiopia Illubador Baaroo Cooperative yesterday and brewed it up this morning.

Yuck.

I know how to describe coffee flavors even less than cigar flavors but this stuff was just meh for me. Total time in the popper was 7 minutes and it was removed from the popper right at the start of 2nd crack.

I had roasted this one once before already and took it off right around 5 minutes and although it was better, I didn't really like it then either. I had thought it needed more roasting time but maybe this bean and I just don't fit together.

Joe @Wicket you are a gentleman and a scholar.

I was taken back at first with how dark the Mexican actually tasted. With no real food to blunt the palate, it was popping with strong flavor. It is an excellent cup.



Both you and Chuck roast a great bean! Oh and I'm all in..

Well, I ordered up some raw beans from Sweet Maria's. They should be here within the week, and I'll give it a try. I'm not sure how much to do in the first batch, but it seems like it's gonna take a few trials to get it right. So I think I'll try something like 3 small batches, and take notes on them. I want to learn how to "perfect" this roasting deal. Wish me luck guys.
