I feel his pain. 4R stuff is extremely tough. I know of maybe 3 in the state that see it, and when they do show up it's inside of an hour and they are gone. Same with anything Buffalo Trace and up. Absolutely insane. I wouldn't be so pissed if they were drinking it.
WTF!?! That’s insane! 4R stuff has full shelf coverage damn near everywhere else!! (Excluding LE and non obsv single barrels...)

I know. I am a 4R nutt bag. But it hasn't been easy. I need OESO and OESF to wrap up my 10 recipes. Was lucky last year and fell on a LE19, which was great, "was".

Yeah both O's and the OBSK are the hard ones to find. Seems like the OESF isnt that bad, I'll keep an eye out...

I finally paid a bit extra on those last bottles to get them and finish the set, with the last coming from a store that shipped in DC.

No pics at the moment but an up & down weekend. Lost my favorite aunt last night. Really sucks. But she must have looked down upon her favorite nephew because I fell on a Van Winkle 10 yr (3 hundo) and won a 130th 4 Roses LE for 37 dollahs (winning). As exciting as it was, it was absolutely shadowed by my Aunt. So, I named the 4R "Eleanor", in honor of my aunt. I will think of here every time I pop that cork.

I wish all of you a great and Happy Holidays. It's an repeating statement, "Love the ones you love while you can. Tomorrow is another day that we don't know what it will hold".

Cheers Ladies and Gentlemen.

So sorry for your loss My Friend. I know every pour of the 4R will be special.

Great story on that one.. Local store I stop in occasionally has had that since November. He got pissed at the flippers and secondary and threw everything up at stupid prices.. (He sold a “friend” a htf bottle as a favor then found out the guy flipped it for $600...)

so I’m looking at this bottle I’ve wanted so bad and searched for, but just no fkn way...

So I call the owner and say, “hey, I’d really love that bottle, but I’m drinking, not collecting or flipping, there’s no way I can pay that.” I offered to pour him a sample or hook him up with some cigars if he sold it to me closer to retail.. He said, hey man, if you’re actually gonna drink it, you don’t even need to do that, just give me $129 and we’ll call it good...:D
