10/10/12Good stuff there, Chayse. What's the age on the Knob Creek pick?
Those 9 year Knob Creek picks are either good or they're great. Hope you got a great one Chayse.10/10/12
it was the last one on the shelf of this warehouse.
Nice Carlos! Fred Minnick put it at #6 whiskey for 2022. For my palate, this one and 22-04 (Pinkie's) are the best 2 batches since Country Ham (19-03).A nice lady at a random liquor store that I called months ago called me back today to let me know they had this come in. Even held it for me!

Nice! Still working my way through Lumberyard, then I think I'm gonna go Tagalong next. By that time the Kentucky Tea should be even yummier.Nice Carlos! Fred Minnick put it at #6 whiskey for 2022. For my palate, this one and 22-04 (Pinkie's) are the best 2 batches since Country Ham (19-03).
They let you pick the barrel, but do you get any of the bottles with that experience Carlos?Tom @icehog3 , I hadn't heard of Fred Minnick...but now I'm down a rabbithole of good reading on his website!

That a 1.75, Chayse? Weller is a nice lower proof pour.Wasn’t necessarily looking for weller but happened to get on the ohio liquor page mostly looking for Bookers, EJ BP or knob creek 12 and saw 2 places with this, tried calling the krogers and couldn’t get ahold of the liquor store part so called this other place and they had 2 bottles, limit 1 per customer. A tiny Hole in a wall place half deli half cheap beer and cigs that just happened to have a whole wall of bourbon too. @icehog3 they had a whole row of WhistlePig 15 rye $299 though so I passed, also had the 10 and 13. I may go back and get a blade and bow though.View attachment 177481
Just a 750 Tom, definitely is Tom it’s been a while since I’ve had a pour of it but always enjoyed it especially for $25 out of the door. That a 1.75, Chayse? Weller is a nice lower proof pour.
I have had my best luck with single barrel picks from Whistlepig. If I was going to buy one that wasn't a pick, I'd buy the 10 Year. But lots of the picks are 13-15 years old and bottled in the 10 year bottle.
Chayse, I drive my GF nuts when we're out and about in new places. If I see a liquor store, especially a small independent one, I gotta go in.I really need to stop going in liquor stores. Had a lead this evening and was a little early so as I’m about 2 minutes away and 15 minutes early sitting at a red light and I look over and there’s a liquor store so I pull in. Didn’t find anything to to crazy bourbon wise but found this sitting on the shelf, I went back and forth on it and even left and did the lead and came back to the store but at the end of the day I wanted to have the cool box on my shelf lol.
Never fails though:Chayse, I drive my GF nuts when we're out and about in new places. If I see a liquor store, especially a small independent one, I gotta go in.
