I need to upgrade and get skin with tick/chigger avoidance alert. Every little minor itch/movement and I'm freaking out.
A leg hair will move slightly and I gotta pull my pants down and slap the shit outta my legs.

I don't know if they all carry it, but I bet they do. It had just started to bite into me, I felt it and knocked it off.
It was a big'n. Dark brick color with a white U on its back.

I remember my Grandmother would pick those buggers off with tweezers and then burn them. No mercy, LOL

My grandparents would put a hot match to them. Something about making them back out so you don't leave tick parts in your skin.

Years ago I visited the Oregon Coast and intentionally slide down the face of a steep hill to an isolated beach thinking I could walk around the outcropping of rock to get back to the parking lot. Well after taking a swim with my 35mm I turned around and decided to climb/pull myself back up the hill, grabbing on to anything I could to help the climb. Finally got back to the parking lot and took the opportunity to use the Porta Potty. 12 hrs later I had the worse case of poison something on my arms, hands and yes you can probably guess where else. Misery just plain misery.

Too late for this....but a lotion called Tecnu works very well if applied right after you get into some poison ivy or oak.
I keep it around since I'm outdoors alot.

Been bathing and washing clothes in it when she started to break out. I agree that it works wonders.
