I think many of you know me already. For those of you that don't here's a little of my back ground. I like to build Humidors and ashtrays in my spare time. Here's a little sample.

Question - do you make your ashtrays with a glass insert in mind, so that the beauty of the wood can be preserved? If so, do you recomend a particular source or is it standarized?

Thank you all so much fo the kind compliments. as far as my wood working background goes, I'm self taught by reading books and listening to the masters I've met. The seal on the doors of the humidor are done by an overlap down the middle and a very tight fit to the face. That one is my masterpiece. I built it for my BIL as a christmas gift. His daughter moved back home so he has no room for it now so I'm making him a new one and I get it back next week.:headroll: I'll post more soon if you like.
