I still have yet to try anything from viaje.. I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews all over the net.
Curious as to what forums/sites you've been hanging out at that give poor reviews of the brand or certain lines within the brand anyway (when you say mixed, I assume to be some good, some poor)....Some are better than others for certain, but there are no duds in this line that I can speak of, and I've tried damn near every one. Many are absolutely amazing sticks to boot (i.e. Exclusivo, 50/50, Holiday, Skull & Bones, Platino (for me anyway), and hopefully these here Summerfest Robuso!!I still have yet to try anything from viaje.. Overall Viaje makes great cigars. Fun small batch stuff, too.I still have yet to try anything from viaje.. I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews all over the net.
So did you get your package today? All i know is in my experience with shaggy foot cigars it's better to cut the shag right off. It's a pain in the ass to light and plus i never understood the appeal of smoking just filler?

There are people out there that don't like them. I have yet to have a Viaje that I have liked. They just have a weird flavor to them that doesn't suit my taste profile.Curious as to what forums/sites you've been hanging out at that give poor reviews of the brand or certain lines within the brand anyway (when you say mixed, I assume to be some good, some poor)....Some are better than others for certain, but there are no duds in this line that I can speak of, and I've tried damn near every one. Oh, I absolutely believe that........there isn't one brand of cigar that isn't going to have people out there that don't care for it. Just too much personal preference, varying palates and what-not...There are people out there that don't like them. I have yet to have a Viaje that I have liked. Shane, yes he did, they were just a few short hours off the UPS truck.I smoked a summerfest today. I think the folks who liked the Holiday Blend will like it. It's spicy - wish it had a touch more sweetness. Also, it does have a Pepin tartness - a sour apple finish. If you're not into that at all, this might not be your stick. I liked it, though. (I did cut the shaggy foot off).
Jamie, did you smoke your summerfest at the shop when they first came in?
cigaroutcast is my main forum... most BOTLS on there were saying they were decent but not worth the $$Curious as to what forums/sites you've been hanging out at that give poor reviews of the brand or certain lines within the brand anyway (when you say mixed, I assume to be some good, some poor)....Some are better than others for certain, but there are no duds in this line that I can speak of, and I've tried damn near every one.
