I still have yet to try anything from viaje.. I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews all over the net.
Curious as to what forums/sites you've been hanging out at that give poor reviews of the brand or certain lines within the brand anyway (when you say mixed, I assume to be some good, some poor)....Some are better than others for certain, but there are no duds in this line that I can speak of, and I've tried damn near every one. Many are absolutely amazing sticks to boot (i.e. Exclusivo, 50/50, Holiday, Skull & Bones, Platino (for me anyway), and hopefully these here Summerfest Robuso!! ;)...

Great to hear on my end as well Larry!!

I hope these turn out alright, as I ordered a few from my local shop. Is there any view on which may be better as of now, the torp, or rob? I know its still real early and they only just got released, just wondering if there was any preference

I can't speak for the torpedo (I haven't smoked it yet) but the Summerfest Robusto and the TNT were "kick-ass" smokes in my opinion!

I'm still waiting for more people that have picked up the TNT's and Robusto's to chime in a bit more. I'm supposed to be picking up both of these this week. Are the TNT's anything like the Daisy Cutters?

Thanks,
Walt

I smoked a summerfest today. I think the folks who liked the Holiday Blend will like it. It's spicy - wish it had a touch more sweetness. Also, it does have a Pepin tartness - a sour apple finish. If you're not into that at all, this might not be your stick. I liked it, though. (I did cut the shaggy foot off).

Jamie, did you smoke your summerfest at the shop when they first came in?

All i know is in my experience with shaggy foot cigars it's better to cut the shag right off. It's a pain in the ass to light and plus i never understood the appeal of smoking just filler?

There are people out there that don't like them. I have yet to have a Viaje that I have liked. They just have a weird flavor to them that doesn't suit my taste profile.

So did you get your package today?
Nope :( for whatever reason it got held up at some USPS hub like 3 hours from my house for two days! unbelievable! I tracked it today and it arrived in my hometown today around 4. I will get it tomorrow. Can't wait!

Oh, I absolutely believe that........there isn't one brand of cigar that isn't going to have people out there that don't care for it. Just too much personal preference, varying palates and what-not...

I was honestly curious more than anything, because generally speaking everything i've read...reviews etc.....is positive as opposed to negative. Don't recall reading a negative one anywhere to be honest, minus the one that Zen posted here about the shaggy Torp.

Shane, yes he did, they were just a few short hours off the UPS truck.

Just recieved in the mail and Smoked my first one. This is a Fantastic Smoke!! I did cut the shag off but I gotta tell you it was a real pleasure to smoke. I would suggest you find a few of these babies and fast. Very limited run and with age these are gonna be a real treat for sure!!:applause:

Smoked the Robo yesterday and am happy to report that it was another great stick from Viaje. I agree with Larry that it was similar to a spicier Holiday blend.
