I concur...I've never had construction problems..and I always have several on hand in the vino. The reg padron maduro are great to age and are an outstanding value. I've never felt that the were constructed badly.
Good to hear. I have a full box of mad 3000 that's over 2 years old. Extra excited now. They are my No. 1 cigar for aging, as little as 6 months of aging makes them a damn fine cigar.
I'm going to have to agree with everyone else here. I'm not sure what kind of Padrons you are smoking, but "wind tunnels" would not be the description I would ever give them.how much better would they be if they were not wind tunnels? :cbig:
Amen to that statement my brother! :cbig:A friend recently told me that he ages the 3000 for about six months and finds that they taste very similar to a 1964 at that point. Worth giving a try to find out.
Similar ... yes. But of course the 1964 has considerably more pepper, as well as body and strength. But the flavors of the regular line do become similar to the '64 with age, though I'd say more like 12-18 months. I have some Londres and 2000s that are 2-years-old now ... i.e. perfectA friend recently told me that he ages the 3000 for about six months and finds that they taste very similar to a 1964 at that point. Smoke slower... In my experience, their draw is lighter, but you just have to pay attention and smoke slower.how much better would they be if they were not wind tunnels? :cbig:
That means they are actually cigars It's the very reason I love them... not over processed, as tobacco should be.Love padron. They're not pretty, almost half of them are crooked, patched, sloppy cap etc. But I've never had one that was plugged or underfilled. They always smoke great. Use a hole punch.
