For me it's:

JDH (46s are like crack)
HG
Then Four Kicks

The JDHs get my vote for the years best cigar! It jived with my tastes perfectly! And the price isn't bad to boot!

The HGs are a close second, more of a morning smoke for me, but they are always oh so good!

The Four Kicks have a tad too much pepper for my tastes, but are solid cigars with a bit of rest.

Is there any place that has the Headley Grange around Michigan north? I have never had one, and getting one or two to try with my friend after exams next week would be cool, but I can't ever find any.

SpartanFan - Would be my pleasure to send you a few Headley Grange to check out...consider it a 'good luck on your exams' gesture on me.

Shoot me an email: Huber@CrownedHeads.com

Cheers.

I had the Four Kicks a few months ago. Great profile all around, and it had enough to depth to keep me entertained. Haven't had the HG, but I'm going to go find a JDH sometime soon.

Love the JDH but neither b/m I go to are carrying (well one did but seems to have ended it) so I'm gonna have to use one of the partners to get my fix. Bit disappointing.

All this Crowned Heads talk got me craving a HG tonight.

It's enjoyable but has some kind of burn issue. I'm not sure if I have some sort of tunneling issue or tobacco fold issue. Any thoughts?

SpartanFan - Thanks for the email...I hit ya back.

SmokinNukie - Looks like you hit a 'runner'....did it even itself out or not? Can't say with 100% certainty what cause that; however, I'm more than happy to replace that cigar for ya--lemme know (Huber@CrownedHeads.com).

I really appreciate everyone's input and kind words on this thread. I'm always eager to garner feedback on our cigars--good or bad. Sounds like we've got some Headley Grange and J.D. Howard Reserve fans here, but not-so-much on Four Kicks(?). If your palate is geared more towards 'fuller-flavored,' 'heavier' cigars, I can see that--Four Kicks was really blended to be more of a 'cornerstone' to our portfolio in that it's a blend that can be enjoyed by a total cigar novice and a seasoned enthusiast, alike. It's not too 'heavy' for a beginning smoker, and if you have a seasoned palate, you'll be able to get the nuance and complexity of the blend--AND the fact that it's very balanced. One note isn't 'louder' than the others...which, for me, is the hallmark of a well-crafted and well-blended cigar.

On the other hand, Headley and JDHR are more 'in-your-face.' I kinda compare the blends to wines--Four Kicks is more like a balanced and nuanced Pinot Noir, whereas, Headley and JDHR are more like fruit-forward Zins...

Thanks again to all my BOTL for your continued support! We can't do it without you all....

Cheers.
