Damn, 40 better not be senior citizen....LOL

Did a killer chest routine this morning.
Just finished squatting. Taking a breather before I get on the treadmill. Finally got back to 495 though my body felt a little shaky lol.

Oh and on the classes masters starts at
35 to 39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

There usually aren't people in all the different divisions so most meets just have an open class or maybe 2 classes for the masters division. G1

Been having some real issues with my ex lately... Last week, that turned me to drinking. This week, it's sending me to the gym, and that's the way it's going to stay. I started hitting it hard. Added 5lbs to all dumbbells, and two sets of 10 reps to all exercises, along with 5 more minutes on the bike (@22MPH)

And the last set of reps on every dumbbell exercise is a burnout. Until I can't even move the weight, let alone lift it.

Also started taking some post-workout protein shakes. Now that I'm going 5x a week (and twice a day, occasionally) I'm soooooore.

Feels good though.

Got up at 8 this morning for bikram yoga. This was the first class that i started to feel a little weak and deff drank more in this class than any other. I think its because I didn't eat before, and normally I go at night after drinking water all day eating breakfast and lunch.

So lesson learned get up a little earlier and have a small breakfast at lease to get something in my stomach.

Yeah it's not fun to learn that lesson the hard way. Thankfully my high school cross country coach instilled that lesson in our heads. If you didn't eat breakfast on race day, you were in trouble.

We kinda had a slacker week this week, people's schedules kept changing where none of us could get to the gym at the same time. Had an impromptu workout yesterday while watching TV... turned into a pushup contest of taking turns doing just sets of 10. Last man "standing" won.

Chest and Tris for me today. Got 225 for four last time, and thats a personal best for me.

Been back in the gym almost 2 months now and seeing a great difference in strength.

I started taking Tribuloid (OTC Test Booster) in the AM along with VPX NO Shotgun pre-workout, VPX Power Shock intra-work, and VPX Syngex Protein for post-workout.

This is by far the strongest I have ever been in the gym, doing weight I have never been able to do before. Feels good.

And kudos to the thread starter!!!!

Today was the start of week three of getting back into heavy lifting. It felt GREAT! With the exception of yesterday, I've been eating very well too. The first two weeks were moderate weight just to get ready and today I hit it pretty hard. I'll see how I feel this next weekend and evaluate if I've getting adequate rest time in between muscle groups.

This morning was chest and bi's with a short jog. May do some jump rope tonight too because my energy levels are through the roof right now.
