Rolling up some firecrackers for the Fourth of July or whenever really.
How did you get that twist on the end with the cap?Rolling up some firecrackers for the Fourth of July or whenever really.
Magic!!! Lol j/k. A little trick taught to me by my mentor. You leave the excess from the wrapper to use as your "twist" that you liberally cover with glue, apply your flag as usual, then the cap gets a straight cut to just past the middle so it can go around the twist. Let me know if that doesn't make any sense. I can do a step by step picture tutorial pretty easy if y'all would like. How did you get that twist on the end with the cap?
That's probably the best explanation. I have toooooooo many things to work on before moving on to twist. Don't know why I even asked. It is cool though.Magic!!!.
That one pictured there doesn't have a flag and cap. Kinda surprising to me. The typical firecrackers are shorter. I suppose I should call mine sticks of dynamite.Nice but that looks to be about 4 inches too long.

Just trying to work out what you meant by this mate. Do they sometimes come out Oval shaped? It is that. Remarkably parallel-sided for a first attempt.
I mean it looks to be a consistent diameter head to toe, with straight sides. My first didn't know whether to taper, lump, bend, or splay. In brief, good job.Just trying to work out what you meant by this mate. Do they sometimes come out Oval shaped?
Yeah, i played with the Ecuador ligero today and it feels so much easier to roll and wrap with. Makes me wonder why i learned on the Brazilian.... If i like the flavor on my blends, i might just replace the Brazilian permanently.Sometimes this Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper is gonna come out ugly no matter how hard I try. Look at how crooked these veins are!
Ugliest stick I have rolled in a while. It will smooth out some as it dries and it won't affect the smoke at all. I love the flavor of this wrapper so I will continue to try and beat it into submission.
I have tried the seco as well and didn't notice any difference in flavor, the only difference I was able to tell was the thickness of the leaf and its strength. I prefer the ligero because I can stretch the hell out of it without tearing to make and almost seamless looking stick.Yeah, i played with the Ecuador ligero today and it feels so much easier to roll and wrap with. Any experience with the other Ecuador primings?

Very true, does the ligero burn well too?I have tried the seco as well and didn't notice any difference in flavor, the only difference I was able to tell was the thickness of the leaf and its strength. I've never had a burn issue with the ligero. Love the stuff, it's probably my favorite wrapper leaf. Everyone loves my broadleaf and San Andres wrapped sticks as well and I do like having a large variety of flavors to play with. Both of my 48qt coolerdors are close to maxed out with my home rolls (plus a little overflow of commercial stuff that doesn't fit in the desktops) and the variety is pretty crazy. I am starting to narrow down my best blends to limit my filler combos to make things a little easier.Very true, does the ligero burn well too?
