I carry the top one to the rigs with me and the bottom knife is my edc. I really like the kershaw's blade, but it has a lock on it which is annoying.

$225 for a cord wrapped knife?? I hope it's forged and not made by stock removal. For that kind of money, I'd go with a Bob Dozier knife.

The whole point of the knife is to be as thin as possible, without making the knife useless.

I've been running around with an Emerson Super CQC-8. Its my pretty one for real work, but to be honest, I'm just as happy with a cheap 5.11 freebie that came with a pants order. Its no where near as nice, but there's no anxiety with using it either. That's always been the dilemma with my fancy / custom / handmades. In any case it makes me happy and gets the job done.
