the opus smoke can tend to get extremely perfumey.
its a good thing, but abit overwhelming if ventilation is compromised

I neglected to say that resting/aging an Opus is like waiting for a hard earned vacation...you know it's coming but the wait can be a PIA. I started smoking them when they first came out and loved the very first one I smoked and from then on I bought 12 of them every year at least so I knew that I'd have a good collection of them over the years and I still buy a dozen so I could at least have one or two every month to enjoy. Finding a Vendor that sells them at sticker is another thing...I know of 3 that sell them at MSRP so I can at least smoke the longer vitolas for about $15 a stick. Opus X ROTT can be a bit overwhelming because they tend to be like a horse right out of the gate....they need a lot of rest to reach their peak balance and that is why people are drawn to them....who likes to wait years just to enjoy a cigar.....not many so that is one big reason for the haters who just don't like them. I've smoked them fresh....1 year all the way up to 10 years old and they come into their prime at around the 5 year mark.

My house isnt worth that much...

Does one mortgage a quarter million dollar car, or do you just suck it up and lay down 8 grand a month on a 5 year loan?

Either way, I still hate you just a little.
The bulk of these are leased. But the demographic that buys these cars are men between the ages of 50-60 that make $600,000 to $2,000,000 a year. And that's for the S-Class Coupe. The S65 is even pricier, so figure the buyers are towards the higher end of that demographic.

Put another way, Bentley's business case is that after two of these, the owners get bored.

I smoked one and this is what happened. Really!!! I love Opus.
My oldest box is from 2012 when I first started smoking cigars. New, old, ROTT, they're all good to me.
I was so stunned by the photo, I just now caught the text. Wait, what?

You collected this many in only a little over two years? Good googly woogly

I hope you started in time to get some of the 13's. The Keeper of The Flame, in my opinion is the best cigar Opus ever put out.

Actually, I got 4 sticks of the 13's, 2 each of two sizes. Not even sure which ones I have. I was still a newb then, had no idea what they were other than they were supposed to be really good. I have only smoked one of the four. That same year, there were Don Carlos lanceros too...I got one of those too. There's no boxes of 13's there, but I have almost all the sizes of opus, I'm missing RDC, (have the angel RDC though) and Petit Lanceros. Also of course, no Opus sharks, pusseycats or Magnum O. There's a few boxes of the Destino al Siglo lanceros from last year in the back.

I can never figure out why folks think Opus is that hard to come up with. You must look high and low online and keep your ears open, and be on a couple of specific mailing lists and be a good customer at your B&M that has an opus account. Honestly the best deals I've seen are over at OLH. Half the fun is the chase!
