Think I got skunked on another boards SS

So I get involved with another board. Seemed like a good place to be. See quite a few of you's there also.

Well, I got into their Secret Santa. Did my job and provided my usual. Well, I think I was skunked by my SS. No packages, no messages, no responses. I still want to have faith in whomever it is. But I got this feeling.

I ain't never been skunked before. That's what I get for leaving home (here).

There is a good thing here!

Contact the SS organizer. I know from experience in past years that if a person flaked and never sent anything out then it would be my responsibility to give the recipient cigars.

Like Cliff said Hendy, contact the SS organizer.

For one thing they set up and organized the SS and they would want to know that one of the members that they allowed to play had not come through. Plus they should have all the contact info for them (email, phone, etc...) in case they need to personally contact them (which they should) and the organizer should also have a DC number for the package that you should have received.

I just wrapped up a Secret Santa campaign on another board that I organized and I stayed on top of things until I received DCs from everyone playing and then confirmations that all packages had landed. I would have wanted to know if someone had not received a package so I could figure out whether it had never been mailed or was a postal problem. Like Cliff said, part of being an organizer is understanding that if someone winds up being a bad Santa it would be up to me to fulfill the package myself!

I was told a PM was sent to him. I do not know who it is.

I was told to give it another week.

Again, it's not the gift as much as I know this site is a decent site. It's not BOTL by any means. Just a buzz kill that this would happen and shameful that folks would get into these events knowing (in most cases) that they are going to screw someone from the beginning.

So, I hope it's just a delay. Unfortunately, these things happen.

I really don't turn on the heat until after the new year. I give them the benefit of the doubt that it might've been caught up in the mail somewhere. But after the new year, an "I was too busy" excuse won't cut it.

I can't disrespect the site for this. It's not the sites fault. Obviously this person was trusted enough to make it into the SS.

Sorry to hear that. This is my first week doing this and i can see going to other boards can get exciting. I like the BOTL and everyone who has posted back to my intro and my Top Cigars to smoke in nice 50 degrees weather has been so super cool and really nice.

To get skunked has to be a bitch and im sorry. If you need a (Non) Secret Santa on here, send me your address man, i have a few sticks available. From a friend on here, i heard half of the fun besides learning about cigars is the trading and just "being nice". I want to use this site to it's potential and sounds like a good time for me to share.

Again, BOTL seems like a good home, and home i'll stay!
