Cracked the HH 20yr and the caribou crossing last night for a friends birthday.

The 20yr was really sweet on the front end and while had complexity, was disappointing over all.

The caribou crossing was just too light for what we typically like. Very smooth, but only had about one flavor note to it.

I wouldn’t purchase either of them again.

@Boudie, that's the dilemma with the picks, you never know about the next one comparatively.

@brianc636, sad to hear the HH20 was disappointing, but I guess it might save me money too. I place the Caribou in the same category as Elmer T. Lee and Hancock, nice flavor but way too light.

Several things to try at a herf on Saturday, even liked 2 of the finished ones. The Elvis Midnight Snack is crazy, really tasty but it's a dessert pour, nothing you'd drink earlier than that.

Last night I had another pour of the newest Booker's. After a few weeks open it's still not near the top of my Booker's list, but did improve a lot over the fresh crack.
