ok i'll keep my eyes open. the descriptions are lovely.
it might be hard at this point to find the pact no.2, but no.3 is out there. Really cool blends. If this was cheaper, I would have backup bottles.
Breakdown of the blend:
no.2 - 11 year old high rye bourbon / 11 year old wheated bourbon / and 7 year old high rye bourbon that’s been finished in Port barrels
no.3 - 12-year high-rye bourbon / 7-yearhigh-rye bourbon / 7-yearhigh-rye bourbon finished in cabernet sauvignon barrels

i love the sound of a rye finished in cab barrels. it's my favorite type of wine. i'm going to have to try to find something like that in the wild and not in a blend.

I will definitely look for that. Glenrothes Sherry cask scotch has been one of my favorites. I need to find these bourbons with wine finishes. have you tried any of them?
Pretty common in scotch, but pretty rare for bourbon to have wine finishes. Vast majority of what you will find is port finished. Angels Envy for example is finished in port. . .
Personally, my favorite if we are talking stateside juice, I love High West's Midwinter Nights Dram - basically their Rendevous Rye as a base finished in a mix of french oak & port:

I guess Midwinter is a fairly limited seasonal release, but my local just received what's possibly the last of the store barrel picks of special finish DoubleRye!, finished in port, and supposedly the closest to Midwinter that's been tasted. (I guess all store picks are now from American Prairie blend?)

They ship!

Also, look at Jefferson's for some wine finishes. Jefferson's Reserve Groth Cask is a cab finished bourbon that had a lot of good reviews.
