It's funny that you chose this bourbon to follow our recent conversation on the sharpness of the Knob Creek Small Batch 100 Proof. There's only one other bourbon that I've tried, out of the 30 or so in total where I can remember distinctly how sharp it was. It was my 2nd ever bourbon purchase back in 2015 and it was Eagle Rare. I love the bottle design (still have it) and I guess considering mine was a Single Barrel Select, it was a first for me. I remember vividly how sharp it was, volume turned up to eleven instantly, and then GONE!! Very short finish. Maybe I'm not giving it the credit it deserves, due to the fact that it followed Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select; my first ever Bourbon and favorite, even today.
I really like the Saz, haven’t had the other two.Tried these over the weekend... first time trying out some Ryes... very interesting.
I'm sure one of these days I'll try some Eagle Rare again and see if my opinion changes. Maybe next time I go to the Montecristo Lounge at JR Cigars in New Jersey, I'll get a snifter of someA bit of Eagle Rare with my Cloud Hopper. @BourbonBinder what can I say...I like it.

Def didn’t wow me. Need a second go with it to make a final opinion. Was pretty warm neat and almost felt like a few drops of water calmed it down almost too much.Somehow haven't ever tried that one. Recommended?
