If you want an great Old Fashioned with a bit of variation try the following:
1 oz Ginger Simple Syrup (recipe below)
2 oz bourbon
Orange Bitters (3 -4 dashes)
Walnut Bitters (3-4 dashes)
Serve up over a big ole' ice cube.

Ginger simple syrup:
12 oz sugar
12 ounce of water
1 root of ginger(peeled and cut into thin slices)

Heat the sugar and water to boiling. Turn heat down to just barely boiling and add the slices of ginger. Slow boil for 5-7 minutes. Let cool. Remove the ginger slices. Bottle up. Keep in the fridge. Makes 12 great Old Fashioned.

Last night.
Honestly I was privileged to have a brother here last year ship me this at cost from his local. A 1.75 Single barrel store pick that has rivaled most bourbons I’ve drank. Fucking magical. I’ve almost finished it in 6 weeks. Can not lay off it.

Sagamore Spirit Double Oak Rye as I push through the week from hell at work. Thankfully I just have two more days of work then off for the rest of the year.

What kind of glass are you working with there?
At first glance it looked like you lined a glass with a plastic bag to save yourself the dishes.

The Norlan Glass lol. A glass lined with disposable plastic liners that can be peeled off after use sounds like one of those wacky items that somehow makes money lol.
