I was at a loss for words when it turned on and worked fine. The best part was the young girl in the cingular store who is looking at it, then he says yeah I flushed it down the shitter. She just drops it on the counter.

He is on his 3rd razr with cingular but love the phone. First one just went dead, second got flushed and the 3rd one has been going strong for a year.

My Office is ready to go to something like the Blackbarry system. When I'm on the road or in meeting or just down the hall, my office txt messages me allot, with all kinds of info.
The plan we use is unlimited use, no roam nation wide. One of my biggest bitches is the the phones change soooo God Damn fast, I couldn't get batties for any of my phones, I'll go through a battery in less than a year. Most batteries will do 200+ hrs.
I'm not sure I'm ready to receive all that info yetfrom a Blackbarry system, I'm wired to max know as it is........

Talked with the store rep- no luck:cursing:
Talked with the Customer Service number- No luck:boxing:
Visited the store and talked with the manager :cursing: :boxing: :help: He made it right.

We added text messaging for a fixed amount each month. I have found the only way to get anything accomplished with Verizon or Altell is to visit a store in person and speak with, at minimum, the manager.
I always go the the Verizon store to do any business with them. They have always taken care of me, but only in the Verizon owned stores. They have even replaced my current phone twice without having the phone protections service.

The few times that I have dealt with their call center has been a waste of time.

Tom-

I've had the newest Razr (the V3M with Silver outside and black inside) for a few weeks now... I wanted the SMALLEST phone possible to keep in a suit pocket, and I've been very suprisingly happy. The battery in the MOST RECENT model has been improved, and I can go a day or two without charging it, but I charge it every night... A friend has the original Verizon Razr and his battery won't even last a full day, which SUCKS!

I think Samsungs are generally recognized as relilable, as are LGs, but I've read nothing but BAD about the Chocolate, so don't get that one if you're still on the market... If you don't mind the size, I think Samsung is probably a good way to go. It's what I got for my wife, who wanted a relatively larger phone to keep in her purse.

Verizon. Razor V3c. Battery sucks. No external antenna so I think that hurts reception strength. Other than that, I love it.

The other good smartphone if you want one is the one Verizon puts their own brand name on that has a keyboard that slides out.
Its the PDA I carry. VX6700. Its bad ass. It has WI FI so you don't have to get the data package. You'll just need to find a hotspot to connect. I have the data package and at $50 bucks a month its crazy. WI FI kills the battery. It comes with voice dialing and the new slide out keyboard is better than the VX6600. Almost like a sidekick.

Thats the only gripe I have with the pda phone, it was either pay a totally insane amount for data on top of a regular plan or go without it. I found a way to set up the internet connection to a dialup (I just used the free one that comes with verizon DSL). Its not fast but my phone will only use minutes if its off peak and not be charged for data.

I barely use the data anyway, I more use the phone as a pda for the palm apps and also sync it up on my powerbook to have the same contacts/pictures/calendar. I found some nice apps like zagat's ratings, a really sweet tip calculator that even will tell you how to split the bill with tip calculated before tax and a bunch of games (of course)

That works out well Josh

It does get pricey with the voice and then the data plan on top
