I like this thread because to be honest I need a place to vent before I erupted and got nasty.

So I am an accountant. Going to school to finish my designation getting my hours in everything. So my position has been practise and training to take my boss' job over. Been getting lots of new work and my boss and I had a great relationship very open and great working together.

Then the blindside happens. 2 weeks ago we get an email at 4:23pm I finish at 4:30. This email is stating my boss is retiring and a new guy is starting the next day. There I sit dick in my hand mouth on the floor.

Well now they treat me like a social lepord and now they are taking everything from me.
Man that is just plane ole bullchit why/where did they Source the new guy
They interviewed him and everything out of office so I wouldn't know. We all talk about bus drivers here and throwing ppl under the bus well this was being smashed by a bus.
Now a days so many company's don't appreciate a loyal employee like they used to

In my responsible life I'm am instructor so a bad day is when I get a call saying someone f*cked up on something I trained them on. A worst day is someone getting hurt or shot. In my part time fun life a bad day would be showing up to host a party on the mic ...and no one is there. That sucks. Lol

Shit they don't appreciate me in anyway. I am pretty much a door map now and I get to do the bitch work.

Karma she always wins.

great day: make maps while smoking cigars, wearing flip flops, and drinking coffee.
bad day: meeting deadlines while coping with bad data - in slacks, without cigars. (boohoo)

I travel for business, and my territory is the entire North American continent. A bad day for me is pretty much any travel day where there's inclement weather where I'm flying. There's nothing worse than having to call a client and tell them that you'll be unable to make your scheduled meeting because you're stuck on the ground in a airport while they plow 18 inches of snow off the runways, or while they wait for the tornado warning to be lifted :p

I work in a machine shop at a steel mill running a roughing lathe. I had a pretty bad day Thursday when I had a 97,000lbs steel roll almost come out of the lathe while I was cutting it due to a temporary loss of hydrolic pressure. In the 5 years in the mill that was the scariest thing to happen to me.

I have really enjoyed this thread and the posts. Since I broke my leg at work almost 6 weeks ago and am in the middle of a worker's comp claim, I need to be careful and not say anything. I wish my brothers only good days filled with good cigar and/or pipe smoke.

Silver lining; hope this affords you a bit more time to sit back and contemplate life with a good smoke while everything gets sorted out. Here's to a speedy recovery, Sir!
