WAAAAAY too many of my faves are at least slightly pressed for me to side anywhere other than FOR. that said, some can look weird, and some aren't made well, as far as the entire market. not every cigar should be, but some i cannot imagine without a press.

also, they don't like to roll off shit if you set them down somewhere stupid... i hope that's not just me that does that...

To be completely honest. I don't care how they are rolled or pressed. As long as the burn correctly and give me the experience I was expecting. Tat TAA is way to good of a smoke to be impacted by a small detail like that.

They make way to many great cigars to stay away from that shape. If they offered the same cigar in box press or round, I'd pick up the round one every time. But they don't, so I guess I'll just keep putting up with it feeling like I'm smoking a Twix.

I have no prejudice against box pressed sticks. I smoke them somewhat regularly. At the end of the day, it only matters if I find the stick enjoyable.

this. all the factory press lfd's have always boggled my mind. can't get more extreme than that. not my pic, but look at this thing. lol. the only one that's ever bothered me is that alec bradley diamond...it's a box-press, but it just looks wrong to me.
I was thinking box pressed cigars though different, look normal enough, until I saw this!

Honestly... I hate the concept of box pressed cigars.

Now, some box pressed cigars are really, really good, and some of my favorites are box pressed -the Padron 80th comes to mind. But to me that's just the quality of the blend, and I can help wondering how much more I'd enjoy a round version of the same cigar.
I think in some cases a box pressing can have quite an effect on a blend. I think the MF Le Bijou 1922 Box Pressed Torpedo is just an amazing smoke, and while I do like some of the other round vitolas, they just aren't the same. This could also be a vitola thing, not a bp thing, or it could be the torpedo head.

Iconic Leaf makes a cigar line called Recluse. One of their special sizes is called the Kanu, it's a box pressed perfecto. It's a neat looking cigar though.

Just looked it up on google. Pretty sweet, indeed. I didn't know a figurado could be box pressed like that. Definitely WAY more aesthetic than that quesada abomination.
