Love the question I have 2 different cigars that I do this with.

1. Cohiba Maduro 5 (Abr 2008) I have 2 of these sticks they came from the same box and are being held for my wedding May 2014 and the other for the birth of my first child.

2. DE cigars I pick them up get all tempted then put it back because they are hard to come by here in the great white. I smell them feel them hold them close but never smoke them.

This was fun now you know what I do in my humi lol.
This is good info, thank you sir!

For me, it's any of my favorite old standbys. I know have at least a couple each of the No. 9's, Las Calaveras, LLTK, HUC#1, HDM Ep 2, and Monte 2s left in my humi, all of which I absolutely love. But, I only get a smoke a week, sometimes two if I'm lucky, and lately I've been trying to try new stuff. It's a tough call to choose between a guaranteed enjoyable smoke, or something new that came highly recommended. But hey, that's how I know I'm livin' the good life! I may have a shrinking stash and a shrinking budget, but I'm still choosing between something new and something good!

My typical practice of late is to take two cigars out with me: one new stick I've been wanting to try to start with, and one old standby. I used to take several new sticks out, but had a couple runs a while back where I'd end up tossing two bad sticks and being grumpy and without a good cigar to smoke. Now, if the new one sucks, it's on to the tried and true.

Since we're resurrecting thus I'll add that I tend to not smoke any sticks I have had before. I always trend to grab new things to try. I used to rarely smoke the same stick twice, still pretty accurate as I love the thrill of the new adventure but as I make more and more box purchases that should change

Pretty much all of my Viaje which is almost all that I have. I have so many that I have very few of that I just reserve for special occasions. I go to the ones I have boxes of. Anything with a fiver or less gets saved.

Anything that I absolutely LOVE but don't have access to more(Tatuaje TAA 2011 for example) or the last stick of a bomb because I just can't, I guess I'm a little sentimental.

I'm still trying new stuff so I don't grab one I know to be good. Like my current fav is the Jericho hill but I keep skipping over the 2 I have...

Late to this thread but I always seem to skip over my lancero drawer (tat black, and drumstick to be specific). I look, pick them up, and then decide I want something else. I always decide to burn through my bigger RG stuff so I can get rid of it and enjoy a lancero "next time".

I dont smoke any DE (outside of UF-13 and original UF4)
I dont smoke RG above 56.
Exceptions have been made very rarely on both of the above

I do not smoke ANY infused cigars (Acids, Tabaks, Anejos)

I think you missed the point of the OP, Edwynarphalonius...

Just saying.

I have a baby drac that talks shit to me everytime I open the humi. I always tell it "you're the next to go!" And then never follow thru on my threats.

Are Anejo's even considered infused?

I don't smoke cigars I only have one left of and longer cigars like Churchill's and corona doubles. I never have a full undisturbed 2 hours to appreciate them.

My CyB Lonsdales and Quesada Espana coronas come to mind when I think about regular production sticks, don't know why, heck bought two more boxes of the CyB when they went on sale and still rarely smoke them. I always enjoy them, just some strange mental block. Doesn't help that I've recently purchased al lot of Cubans that are either new-to-me marcas or vitolas I haven't had yet so they are calling me to try them....

Nothing is sacred in my humi. If it tastes good it's getting smoked. That being said, I tend to bypass the Monty 2's, because I have a love/hate relationship with them. When they are good they are fantastic. When they are off, it pisses me off.

I tend to avoid anything that I don't have 2 of lol. I guess I like seeing the collection in my desktops. If I smoke my last of one that I like then I can't look at it anymore haha. Cigar geek problems....

I'm sort of the same way, especially when it's a gifted stick that is htf, or just not something I can easily get.

Anything in a Candela wrapper...
Just the opposite, really. I bought a 5er of ab filthy hooligans from USHog. Loved those things! Every time I smoked one, I nearly ordered a few different types of candellas. Never did. Now I fall in with the crowd of "I have one left...","limited release...", etc.
