Just my regular Starbucks French Roast this morning. I wish I could find some really good Ethiopian Harrar. At its best it has the most intense blueberry flavor I have ever seen. If anybody knows of a really good source of Ethiopian beans please let me know. I love the fruity notes of a good one.
@Tennessee Dave these guys used to sponsor Botl and roast one hell of what you are looking for.......

Now y'all got me thinking about trying out home roasting. Jerks.
Do it!!!!! Aside from equipment, it's the cheapest way to enjoy fresh coffee that is high quality. I average about $5/lb for the green coffee. I'm cheap and didn't invest in an expensive roaster, for $20 you can get a stove top popcorn popper that works very well if you don't mind sitting there cranking it by hand for 10 minutes.

IMG_0129.JPG A couple years ago, I (1) burned out my older model Behmor, (2) developed a caffeine allergy and (3) had to give up coffee completely, all within a few weeks.

Recently, I seem to be able to tolerate decafs in moderation. At this moment, I'm drinking a very rich, earthy Indian Moonsooned Mangalore decaf from Fresh Roasted Coffee in PA. I also enjoy their Ethiopian Sidamo and Sumatra Mandheling decafs. All three use the new Royal Select water decaf method, and believe me, I've served them to several coffee drinker, and not one could guess they where decaf. The company sells these beans green at less then half the price of them roasted, plus I really prefer to control my own roasts, so a new Behmor may very well be in the near future.

Very nice! Enjoy! Ethiopians and Sumatrans have always been favorites of mine. I love the deep earthy baker's chocolate notes these have.
I couldn't wait and just brewed a cup in the French press. While tomorrow and the next day's cups will be better, this is fantastic stuff. Along with the bakers chocolate there is a tropical fruit thing going on that is very pleasant. I haven't had many Ethiopians due to a bad experience with a local roasters offering, but knowing how to roast to my tastes I will be stocking up now. As the picture shows the chaff did not want to let go very well but despite the rustic/rough appearance I'm loving it
