Bowl #2...Plumcake. When I first opened this tin a year ago it bit me something awful. But now after 12 months in a jar and if Iet it dry a little first it is dry, cool and delicious.

Read your build up and watched a couple videos. I think Rob might have had parts he was sending.
Ok, I read about this "magical, golden brick" of tobacco called Semois and had to try it. It came in the mail yesterday and I could not sleep last night knowing it was here and not having tried it!
The "tin" note was not unlike that of grandmas house, musty, faint herbal notes from old perfume and somewhat earthy. Not a huge turn on.
So, I loaded a bowl in my Peterson Irish Harp 606 pot and put fire to it! What an amazing tobacco! Not bitter like burley, not as sweet as virginia, yet quite aromatic in its own sense without additives. Seems a bit monochromatic from start to finish, only building in depth of flavor as the bowl burns. I will definitely keep this tobacco in my rotation and may try blending it with others to see how it performs.

McClelland McTruffle - It's got a cool story, too.
6-9 months ago I called Mary at McClelland with a problem. One of the bulk tobaccos we sell at our shop was no longer available (PS-51). I told her what it was made of, what it tasted/smelled like, and asked what they had for a bulk tobacco that was comparable. Well, unfortunately they didn't have anything along the lines of what I was looking for, but they're Kansas City folk and these people go the extra mile. Mary said, give us a little while and we'll see if we can blend something custom for you guys that comes close. A couple months later (I had almost forgotten about the whole thing), a sample came along with my order and the note read,
"Jacob,
Here's something we like a lot. We call it McTruffle.
-Mary"
