Today's smoke! I'm calling it a mystery cuban!! Back in October I went on a cruise and picked up some Cubans from Casa Del Habanos in Cozumel and at Churchhill's Cigar Shop in the Cayman Islands. Well when I got back to the boat I put them in my travel humi and took the bands off so I would have no trouble getting them back on land. So now I don't know which one I'm smoking. All I know it's one of these in the picture!

Got some more test blends in the mold that was recently bombed to me. Need to get a good blend dialed in so I can bomb the shit out of @daleo8803 with them. This mold is proving a little tricky to get an even fill on.

Was filling up my mold with another new blend and this bunch I made the wrong size, too long for the mold and too skinny to work right. Instead of tossing it or trying to make it fit in the mold, I just wrapped it after seeing the video of Hamlet doing that. Not my best looking stick by any means, but I'm pretty damn happy with how it turned out without using a mold or strips of paper towel to form it. Wound up just a little longer than 5.5" and is about a 36rg.

Thanks. Had a good case and did a good job stretching this one. Only trouble I'm having is the shape of the wrapper. I'm referring to my overlap on my seams. At the foot they are close together then close to the head they look more normal.
For a standard shaped cigar a strip of leaf approximately 2"-3" is all that is needed. With the shape of the leaf this can be a little tricky but with practice you will get better. At the foot of my cigars there is very little overlap but the middle has quite a bit due to the shape I cut the wrapper to match the changing shape of the perfecto. At first I tried to use all the wrapper leaf I could and avoid waste. Now I have quite a bit of wrapper scrap that gets tossed since I'm more concerned with the aesthetics and less concerned about he cost of the wrapper leaf. That's just me though.
