Having tended bar at several places, I find the drinks you want to pre mix are the ones with multiple ingredients. I don’t mean to knock anyone’s ideas, but to premix a Manhattan would be a waste IMO. Reason being…It’s 2 ingredients, shaken and poured in a martinin glass add a cherry. If you wanted a speacialty Manhattan, just use a special bourbon, and list it as the Woodford Reserve Manhattan, or SoCo manhattan or something like that, but those are better fresh, and people like seeing you shake their martinins and manhattans, especially snooty country club types.

One of the drinks we would premix would be the Long Island Iced tea. We had the mix available in our soda gun. We just mixed all the, vodka, gin, rum , tequila, and triple sec, and sweet and sour in a tank, hooked up the CO2 to it so it would pump thru the gun. Fill the glass with ice, shoot the mix, splash of coke, and a 7 ingredient drink is done in seconds.

ok, but is this a specialty drink? pour the Gin shoot the tonic, add a lime. No need to pre-mix these.
Most defiantly not a specialty drink, but you can tell what was on my mind after reading the post. :bottle:

What about the A.M.F.? Adios Mother F%^(#$? Seems like it would be a hit at the club... Mix it up, add the fizz and a cherry on top.

1/2 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Rum
1/2 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Blue Curacao
2 oz Sour mix
2 oz 7-Up
Mixing instructions:

Pour all ingredients except the 7-Up into a chilled glass filled with ice cubes. Top with 7-Up and stir gently.

Where is the Gin and Tonic? Common guys... Summertime favorite, I can drink these by the gallon! ;)
stadard drinks will always be available, just looking for some nice concoctions to help boost the sales a little. a few highlights, so to speak. trust me, when one person sees the pretty little pink drink in a martini glass go walking by (Rum Kick Martini) then 5 people are gonna order one.

same thing for a mojito. when one person sees it, everyone wants one.

and that blueberry vodka/lemonade thing...same thing.

i make this without the curacao and call it a Lubenade. basically a long island with 7up instead of cola. ladies love em and like dave said, mix up the liquor in a big batch and boil it down to a 2-3 step drink.

and dave is spot on with his analysis...i'm going to be making manhattans and gnts on the spot. i'mlooking for ways to cut down the time and margin for error on drinks with several ingredients.

a standard martini will be made to order. unless i find someone who can put a bunch of gin or vodka in a big bottle so i don't have to mix it every time...:wtf:

Anything Pomegranate seems to be popular with the ladies these days.

Pom Martini's.........or a recent fave of my wifes.......a Huckleberry Lemon Drop

In a sugar frosted martini glass add:

1 1/4 oz Huckleberry Vodka
1/4 oz triple sec
1 oz sweet n sour
Garnish with lemon.

IMHO, These types of menus will NOT be popular for dudes....they'll reach for beers or the aforementioned Gin/Vodka Tons. Cater this menu to the ladies and you'll do just fine.

Almost forgot.....

Some type of amped up Blood Mary is a MUST.....especially at a golf course. Love starting off a round with a nice, spicy bloody mary.

thought the same thing on the bloody mary. easy to make your own statement with it. there is a place down at the lake we always go to for breakfast cause they make a kick ass bloody mary. it's so thick you need a big straw to drink it. man it is good.

Lemon Drop Martini.

Measurement depend on the sizr martini glass you use, but it’s pretty easy to get this one to taste good and look great.

Sky Citrus Vodka, or any of the Limon Vodkas
Triple Sec
a slash of sweet and sour for color

Shake it vigorously

Rim the glass with sugar and garnish with a lemon slice.

Chocolate martini

2 partsAny premium vodka,

1 part Chocholate liquer

1 part bailey’s irish crème

Shake and chill

Rim the glass with chocolate powder. I have also put a squiggly line of hershey’s syrup a round the inside of the glass for a cool presentation.

good stuff guys.

so far i have this...

Standard martini

Rum Kick Martini

Lemon drop Martini

Mojito (which is a man's drink too)

Lubenade

Bloody Mary (I make a good one) (check that, I make a GREAT one)

Cosmopolitan

Margherita (I make mine iwth Sauza Gold, its the best)

And i'll probably put a Gin and Tonic on there....maybe use bombay sapphire or Tanqueray 10 to make it more special and gear it towards the man's man. i always make mine by squeezing the lime after the gin and before the tonic. it makes a difference.

will probably throw things like a chocolate martini after we get a full time bartender and are able to more effectively run nightly drink specials. like i said, we're tyring to do easy things to start out with.

wer'e also installing tap beer for the first time ever at the CC. we'll have all the standard bottled beers along with Heine, becks, molson canadien (becasue it's my favorite) and i'm gonna carry a selection of Micro and Craft beers. I'll probably just by a case of the micros at a time and when they run out, or are close to running out, i'll order something different, so people get to try new stuff if they choose. our servers will have to give a small verbal presentation of our craft beer selections during their meet and great at the tables.

Ok...final recommendation and then i'll quit...(can you tell I like booze?...LOL!)

Called an "Arnold Palmer" (name should go over nicely a CClub I would guess):

Just mix equal parts of Lemonade and Tea together and add your favorite citrus vodka.....Garnish with lemon or mint (or both).

Could also replace the vodka for dark rum if you'd prefer.

Good drink too, but I've only heard it called a Drunken Golfer refering to the Arnold Palmer. An Arnold Palmer is the same drink you just listed, with out the alcohol. You can use burbon or rum too, just decide which flavor you like better.

Golf oriented names would be a cool catch too. The Hole In one, Albatross, Ace in the hole...get creative could be an eye catcher and something to remeber you by.

drink names are easily interchangable. This club will have a regular clientel, so once they know the name, they will order by name.

a mexican resaurant around here Has the Mama Mia Margueita…..only difference, is a floater of Ameretto Di Sarrono…but the name sells it.

You gotta have cool drink names Gale
